Frequently Asked Questions
What makes 4th & ZURI different from other clothing stores?
4th & ZURIis not a traditional retail store; we are a curated vintage fashion boutique. Instead of mass-produced, fast-fashion items, we offer a handpicked collection of rare vintage garments, upcycled pieces, and timeless wardrobe staples. Every item on our racks is selected for its superior craftsmanship, unique history, and enduring style, ensuring that your wardrobe is as individual as you are.
Are all the items in your store authentic vintage?
The majority of our collection consists of authentic vintage pieces sourced from various decades. We also carry a select range of “Modern Classics” (high-quality, pre-loved contemporary pieces that fit a vintage aesthetic) and “Upcycled & Reimagined” garments, which are vintage items that have been tailored or customized to give them a modern second life. We clearly label the era and condition of each piece in its product description.
How do I know what size to order?
Vintage sizing often differs significantly from modern sizing. A dress labeled “Size 8” from the 1970s will fit much smaller than a modern Size 8. To ensure the perfect fit, we provide detailed, flat-lay measurements (bust, waist, hips, length) for every item in our online store. We highly recommend comparing these measurements to a similar garment you already own that fits you well.
What condition are your vintage pieces in?
We take great pride in the quality of our archive. Every piece is meticulously inspected, cleaned, and, if necessary, delicately restored before it reaches our store. Because these items have a history, minor signs of wear are natural and add to their vintage charm. Any significant flaws, such as a missing button or a small mend, will always be transparently noted in the product description and shown in the photos.
Do you restock items once they sell out?
Because our inventory consists of rare, one-of-a-kind vintage finds, we cannot restock an item once it is sold. If you see a piece you love, we recommend purchasing it before it is gone! However, our curators are constantly sourcing new items, and we drop fresh vintage arrivals on our website every week.
Can I return or exchange an item if it doesn't fit?
Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of our vintage inventory, we do not offer direct exchanges, and returns are only accepted in the rare event of a manufacturer error or an undisclosed major defect on our part. We ask that you carefully review all measurements, photos, and condition notes before completing your purchase. For full details, please review our Returns & Refunds Policy.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Once your order is placed, our team takes 3–5 business days to carefully inspect, package, and prepare your vintage piece for shipment. After processing, standard domestic shipping within the United States typically takes 5–10 business days. International shipping generally takes 10–20 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
How should I care for and wash my vintage clothing?
Vintage garments require a little extra love to preserve their quality. We generally recommend hand-washing delicate items in cold water with a gentle detergent and laying them flat to dry. For structured pieces like blazers, wool coats, or silk dresses, professional dry cleaning is highly recommended. Always check the original care tag if it is still attached, or reach out to us if you need specific care advice for a piece you purchased.
Do you buy vintage clothing from the public?
We currently source our inventory through a trusted network of independent curators and professional vintage collectors. However, if you have a highly unique, high-quality vintage collection or designer archive you are looking to part with, you are welcome to email us at support@4thandzuri.com with photos and details. We review these inquiries on a case-by-case basis.
